Hello Doug,

Great question. A lot of parents want their kids to experience new foods. I've written an article called 'New foods and picky eaters'. You can find it under the 'parenting advice' section. Feel free to post additional questions with the new article!

My kids are picky eaters. I've tried to expose them to a wide variety of foods from the day they were born. When forced to try something new or eat foods they don't like, they will work themselves up until they vomit up their entire meal at the dinner table. Fairly basic foods like baked potato or lettuce on a sandwich are a couple of the problems. I am a pretty lenient father, I don't make them eat more than a couple bites of something they don't like and I don't force new foods on them more than once every few weeks, but I do insist that they try it. My kids are 4 and 6.

Any suggestions on broadening their tastes ?
Or dealing with their tendency to vomit up what they don't like ? I don't feel like I can let them get away with simply refusing to eat (or even try) certain common foods, but I am out of ideas on how to address the issue. Thanks.
